
The Pope Will Drive an Electric Car

On his 80th birthday, the Head of the Catholic Church got his first electric vehicle. According to mobilityhouse.com the Nissan LEAF was a gift from the German investor Jochen Wermuth who is a strong believer in sustainable investment.
The Pope has addressed climate change issues before, in 2015 he called for action to promote a clean-energy future in his environmental encyclical Laudato Si’.
The Vatican is committed to becoming the first zero-emission state. Currently, a research study on carbon dioxide levels in Vatican will help the state to explore ways to reduce and finally abandon CO2 emissions from their energy use.
